With little more than a week spent shadowing my GP, I knew I needed some work experience for my med school application.
I spent two weeks in India with Pulse Asia and I am so glad that I did!
The amount I learned, the great people I met and the superb doctors who taught me really inspired me to keep pushing for a medicine.
The manager Daya was so friendly and took us on trips, taught us about local food and culture - can't praise him enough.
I was allowed to spend extra hours in the hospital and even worked on weekends - lost count of the amount of surgeries I saw and I genuinely feel like those weeks gave me the best insight into what being a doctor actually means.
