Visa Requirements

For short-term volunteer projects of up to 30 days, the Tourist Visa (T-Type) is a convenient choice. It’s available both online (as an e-Visa) and on arrival at Cambodian international airports and border crossings. 

Volunteers who need a bit more time can extend this visa once for an additional 30 days, making it a flexible option for brief stays.

Those planning a longer volunteer commitment are better served by the Ordinary Visa (E-Type). While it is technically obtainable upon arrival, many seasoned travelers recommend securing it ahead of time through a Cambodian embassy or consulate to streamline the process. 

Best of all, it can be extended for 1, 3, 6, or even 12 months, offering volunteers plenty of breathing room to fully immerse themselves in their projects and explore the beauty of Cambodia.

While you’re in the country as a tourist, you are not allowed to exchange any work for payment.
