Afawi offers an in-depth and insightful view into Ghanaian politics and development. It is a small, agile team operating in the outskirts of the capital Accra. The charity director, Philip, is passionate and practical and allows volunteers to take part in a number of skill-based tasks, from qualitative research to marketing, data collection to community relationship building. This is an authentic grassroots organisation that strives to make the country a better place for women, and you can feel it in every action they take.
