Overview

Centre for Batwa Minorities Uganda (CFM) is a non profit organization that was founded and registered in 2011 under registration number 8499 of the Non Government Organisations registration Act, CAP 113. As a response to the absence of an appropriate voice to address the rights of minority groups, CFM pioneers the enforcement of human rights of indigenous minority groups in Uganda.

CFM was formed to contribute towards ensuring that laws and policies are used as principal tools for the promotion and protection of human rights for indigenous populations. To realise this, CFM works through a set of programs; (1) Human Rights and Advocacy; CFM engages with officials at the local council level up to the district (2) Community empowerment and (3) Research documentation and dissemination.
