Investours

Investours is a Harvard-born non-profit organization that leverages the resources generated by tourism to promote economic development in the communities surrounding Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. We bring small groups of tourists to engage with local artisans who make cultural products. We then use 100% of tour proceeds to support the artisans we meet with interest-free micro-loans. Our Mexico program further promotes our artisan clients by providing specialized consulting for their small businesses, organizing fair trade markets where they can sell their cultural products, and founding a women’s cooperative that supplements their income year-round.
