Overview
WYCE works in The Gambia to help create self-sustainable opportunities for education, skills training, and healthcare in rural communities. In partnership with the Gambian government we work hard to ensure that our projects help to develop the communities in which we work in a way that is best for the Gambian economy.
WYCE is both a UK charity and a Gambian NGO, employing a team of local people to run, and make decisions about the work that needs to be done.
WYCE invites volunteers to work with us at our community projects in the village of Madina Salam in the coastal south of the country. Volunteers pay for their accommodation and food. All money raised from volunteers is reinvested in our community projects, school, and clinic.
